Complete with servo!
You get all the mechanical parts to make a compact and affordable servo-controlled rotating sensor turret. Designed for the popular Sharp GP2 family of infrared sensors, and the Parallax Ping and Devantech SRF0x ultrasonic ranging sensors. Just add the sensor and you're off!
The assembly can be mounted using standoffs, or with heavy-duty 3M Dual Lock reclosable fastener (available separately; see the Options list below). The turret works with the Devantech SRF04 and SRF08 sensors, the Parallax Ping, and other size-compatible ultrasonic sensors. Now also fits the Sharp GP2 family of infrared sensors.

The servo turret can be mounted
to most any robot base.
Optional alternate sensor mounting boards allow you to to combine an infrared and ulrasound sensor on one unit, or use the new Sharp multi-beam ranging sensors. We also provide a "blank" sensor mounting board in either of two sizes if you want to attach your own custom sensor to the turret. Small board measures approx. 1" x 2"; the large board 2" x 2"). The ABS plastic is easy to drill.
The turret sweeps an arc up to 180 degrees. If you need a bigger arc, check out our new 360 Degree Pan Turret!

Please note: The infrared/ultrasonic sensors are NOT included. These are available from a variety of sources, and generally cost from $10 to $25 each, depending on type. The sensor mounting boards provide a mounting solution for the sensor(s) of your choice.
